CENTIES RULES & REGULATIONS

The participant should be a full time bonafide student of an engineering college which takes part in this tournament.
The teams participating in CENTIES events should produce consolidated player’s list signed by the principal and director of physical education, college ID card and recent semester hall ticket or mark sheet. (if the mark sheet is downloaded without photo they should paste the photo and get attested by the physical director).
Director of Physical Education (DPE) should accompany the team. In case of absence of DPE a teaching faculty should accompany the team otherwise the team will not be allowed to lodge any kind of protest if any dispute arises during the course of the tournament.
Protest can be lodged for valid reasons only, a letter of protest addressed to the local organizing secretary along with a protest fee of Rs.500/- (Rupees Five hundred only) should be given within an hour from the completion of the match, the protest fee will be refunded only if the protest is proven right.
The organizing secretary and CENTIES Secretary reserve all the rights to change the venue, date and time.
Coaches will be allowed for CENTIES events and they should not act as official in the tournaments.
The out station teams are requested to inform two days before the match date for accommodation to the local organizing secretary.
Certificate will be issued for IV place also.
In view of encouraging the sportsmanship, CENTIES has introduced FAIRPLAY AWARD to an Institutions based on the “on field behaviors and punctuality of players, team managers & coaches”.
Match date & timings will be strictly followed in all the CENTIES Events.
In all the above cases the Executive Committee will be the final deciding authority.

SYSTEM OF PLAY

Badminton : Singles, Doubles & Singles (Min. 2 & Max. 4 Players)
Ball Badminton : Best of 3 sets ( Max.10 Players)
Basketball : Duration: 4 Quarters of 10 Minutes each (Max.12 Players)
Chess: Duration – Each 30 mins Swiss System -Team events (Max 5 Players)
Football: Duration- 30-10-30 Minutes. In case of tie, the Penalty shootout will be followed. (Max. 20 Players)
Handball : 20 -10 -20 Minutes (Max. 14 Players)
Hockey : Duration: 30 – 10 – 30 Minutes. In case of tie, the
Penalty shootout will be followed. (Max. 18 Players)
Kabaddi : 20 -05 – 20 Minutes (Max. 12 Players)
Kho-Kho: 9 – 3 – 9 – 6 – 9 – 3 – 9 minutes (Max: 12 Players)
Table Tennis : 3 singles and 2 Reverse Singles (Min. 3 & Max. 5 Players)
Tennis : Singles, Doubles & Singles (Max:4 Players)
Throwball : Best of 3 Sets (9 + 5 = 14 players)
Volleyball : Best of 3 sets ( Max12 Players)
Athletics : An athlete can take part 2 events and two relay. A college can made two entries and one reserve per event.
